1.New Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen to begin service.
On September 23, a new Shinkansen bullet train will make its debut on the line connecting Nagasaki with the historical spa town of Takeo Onsen in Saga prefecture. The fastest services will shorten the overall journey time between Nagasaki and Hakata to just 80 minutes. Enjoy the idyllic scenery of the Saga Plain and the Ariake Sea in the comfortable seats of the "Kamome" (seagull) Shinkansen and discover the lesser-known charms of Western Kyushu.

2. Enjoy the beauty of Japanese autumn leaves at Kosetsuen in Hokkaido.
Located in Miharashi Park in the city of Hakodate, Kosetsuen is a beautiful Japanese-style garden that turns a brilliant red in the autumn, the only garden in Hokkaido to be a nationally designated cultural property. The illuminated leaves create a fantastic backdrop during the MOMI-G Festa, an autumn festival. The festival will include mini-live performances of jazz and Hakodate folk songs, and hands-on events such as wreath-making using dried flowers.

3. The Festival of Lights in Osaka to be held from November.
During Osaka's Festival of Lights, visitors to the city will be able to enjoy illuminations on the iconic Midosuji Avenue and at an event in the district of Nakanoshima, the symbol of the city they call "Aqua Metropolis Osaka". Other events from the festival will be staged from November 3 through January next year at various commercial facilities, plazas, and in front of various train stations in Osaka prefecture, where dazzling lights will delight local residents and tourists.

4. Fuji Motorsports Forest - a place of pilgrimage for car lovers!
In the autumn of 2022, a new Fuji Motorsports Forest complex will open in phases at the Fuji Speedway circuit in Shizuoka. It will offer motorsports fans various attractions and activities, including sports car simulators, and will provide fascinating glimpses into the future of mobility. It will include a hotel where visitors can enjoy views of both the Fuji Speedway circuit and Mt. Fuji, as well as a "Fuji Motorsports Museum."

5. Treat yourself to a luxurious stay on tiny Goto islands
